As the RWC 2023 progresses, the Club will be open for all the quarterfinals, semi-finals and final.

Here is a message from Nick Jacobs, our Club ticket secretary, regarding the ENGLAND 6 NATIONS MATCHES 2024:

TWICKENHAM HOME MATCHES

The club will receive an allocation of tickets to purchase for the following England home games:

England v Wales

Sat 10 February 2024, 16:45

England v Ireland

Sat 9 March 2024, 16:45

Should you be interested in applying please email me with the game and the number of tickets you would be seeking.

ENGLAND AWAY MATCHES

The club has no allocation for the away matches but may be able to apply for 2 tickets for the Italy and Scotland matches and 4 for France, which this year is in Lyon.

Saturday 3 February 2024, 2:15pm (GMT), Stadio Olimpico, Rome

Scotland v England

Saturday 24 February 2024, 4:45pm (GMT), Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh

France v England

Saturday 16 March 2024, 8:00pm (GMT), Groupama Stadium, Lyon*

The RFU has given us a very small window in which to apply for away tickets so I would need to receive any applications by no later than this coming Sunday 15th October.

On the Club playing front the first XV mens' team lost to Wigan away 10-43 on 23rd September, and then lost at home against Burnley on 30/09/20, 10-27, both in Counties ADM league 3. They then won at Birchfield 21-19 in the ADM League Cup.

The 2nd XV lost to Blackpool 2nd XV 7-30 on 30th September, in a Halbro league and Cup double header. Since then PGH 5th team and Fleetwood 2nd XV cried off their games with Ormskirk.

The ladies team lost to Winnington Park 26-48 on 8th October.

The under 17 colts team have since lost to Lymm away 17-34 on 24th September, then beat Chester away 41-26 on 8th October. 

Thanks to Mark Salter and Adi McClenaghan a successful Oktoberfest was held on 30th September. We look forward to the next Club event.

The September 200 Club draw was won by Brian Green, a former senior player. Remember you have to be in it to win it, so if wish to join at £5.00 per month and get the chance of winning a monthly prize of £200 (£500 for December) please contact me.

A few months ago I invited any Club member wanting to purchase an older playing shirt, for £5.00. We still have loads of shirts left for which I’m looking to see if anyone has any ideas as what we can do with them, please contact me. Please keep them sensible. We have already sent 3 non badged kit to an African charity.

We are also planning to refurbish the ladies toilets at the Club before Christmas. I will provide more details in November's Mailchimp newsletter.
