19th January 2024 at 7.30pm in the Clubhouse
The Board of ORUFC invite all members to attend an EGM for completion of the move to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).
Members voted at AGM’s held in 2022 & 2023 to appoint required Trustees and an updated Constitution in preparation for the final vote required at an EGM. It is imperative that as many members as possible, from ALL sections, attend this meeting.
Zoom attendance requirements can be requested from the Club Secretary prior to meeting.
All postings will be made in accordance with the Club Constitution.

On the playing front, games have been limited due to holidays and weather.
The 1st XV men's team lost 15-29 against Wigan at Green lane on 6/1/24, with the colts losing 17-22 at Knutsford.
The ladies and 2nd team have not played since that was recorded in my last newsletter in December.
The Club will be showing all the televised 6 Nations games at the Club, starting Friday 2nd February 2024, France v Ireland.
On a related note:
LYON
SATURDAY 16th MARCH 2024
One of our members is now unable to take up their allocation of 4 tickets for the 1st France v England match to take place in France’s gastronomic capital Lyon.
The tickets are £102 each.
If any member is interested in purchasing those tickets please email our Ticketing Secretary Nick Jacobs: nick.jacobs@
A reminder, tickets may only be used by members of ORUFC and their accompanying guests.
Should the member be unable to attend they must not resell their tickets but return them to the club who will attempt to resell them to other members.
Thanks to those that responded to the Whatsapp survey on improving our Clubhouse. The results will be analysed and a working party will put together an action plan. One of the actions will be to look at the viability of opening the Clubhouse to televise Premiership and Champions League football matches.
Austen Robinson, a M&J's parent, and former sponsor, was drawn in the December 2023 200 Club draw and received the Christmas prize of £500.
Yours in rugby,
